What we provide

Slade Tutoring provides one-to-one online tuition in GCSE and A-Level Geography, delivered over video with a shared whiteboard. Lessons are typically 60 minutes. Slade Tutoring is a sole trader business operated by Oliver Slade.

Prices

• GCSE: from £35 per hour
• A-Level: from £38 per hour
• Introductory chat: free, 20 minutes, no obligation

The rate for your lessons is agreed before the first paid lesson and shown on every invoice. Rate changes are given at least one month's notice and never applied to lessons already taught.

Booking

Lessons are booked through your account. A request for a time that is free is confirmed automatically; anything else is confirmed by us, usually the same day. Nothing is charged at the point of booking.

Cancellation and refunds

• More than 24 hours' notice: cancel or reschedule free of charge, with nothing to pay.
• Less than 24 hours' notice: the lesson is charged in full, as the slot can rarely be filled at short notice.
• If we cancel: you are never charged, and we will offer a replacement slot as soon as possible.
• Technical failure: if a lesson cannot go ahead because of a fault on our side, it is not charged.
• Not satisfied: if a lesson genuinely wasn't up to standard, tell us within 7 days and we will refund it. We would rather refund than argue.

Payment

Lessons are invoiced monthly in arrears for lessons already taught. Invoices are due within 7 days and can be paid by card through your account. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and are never seen or stored by us.

Safeguarding

• The tutor holds an Enhanced DBS check.
• Accounts for students under 18 are held by a parent or guardian, who can read all communication between the tutor and their child.
• A parent or guardian should be contactable throughout any lesson with a student under 18.

Ending lessons

Either side can stop at any time with a week's notice. There is no minimum term, no tie-in and no cancellation fee. You pay only for lessons already taught.
